Second-Degree Seeking Students

Value Flags
Students who have earned a baccalaureate degree, either at Boise State or elsewhere can earn a second degree by completing specified major requirements. Second-degree seeking students must complete at least 30 upper-division credits at Boise State for each additional degree.

Have you considered one of our Graduate Programs? The College of Business and Economics has several opportunities for students looking to continue their education.

Second-Degree Process

  • Complete the second-degree admission process to Boise State
Note: Students that have completed their first baccalaureate degree through Boise State will NOT need to submit a transcript
  • Complete the COBE second-degree checklist request (please make sure you have received your Boise State student ID first)
  • A COBE Advisor will review your submission and evaluate your credits from your previous baccalaureate degree
  • COBE Advising will contact you after all of your materials have been evaluated to go over your second-degree requirements

Your checklist request should be submitted 4 weeks prior to the start of the term you wish to enroll in. Requests submitted after that deadline may not be processed in time to start classes. Please only submit a request after completing all second-degree admission requirements.
