The concurrent JD/MBA program does not have a shared application, so you must apply separately to both the University of Idaho College of Law and to the Boise State University JD/MBA Program. Acceptance into one program does not guarantee that you will be accepted into the other. The College of Law also must approve your participation in the JD/MBA program. We recommend that you are accepted and approved at the University of Idaho before applying to Boise State, although you may apply to both universities at the same time if your choice of Law School will depend upon acceptance into this program. Current first-year students in the College of Law should apply to Boise State before April 30th at the end of their first year of JD studies. Information on admission to the JD program at the University of Idaho College of Law is available at http://www.uidaho.edu/law/admissions/.
The Boise State admissions process is very similar to our Professional MBA program except that we waive the requirements for GMAT/GRE scores and for two years of significant work experience. Required application materials include official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities (these must be ordered and sent separately to Boise State, we can’t share copies previously sent to University of Idaho), a current resume, two essays, and two recommendations from professional or academic sources. When applying at the Boise State online application site, be sure to choose “I would like to apply for a Graduate Degree Program” and then select “Business Administration – Professional MBA and JD.”
Students accepted into the Boise State JD/MBA program will need to submit unofficial transcripts showing successful completion of the first year at the College of Law before being allowed to register for MBA courses. All Professional MBA and JD/MBA students must also complete all four online tutorials (competency exams) before the first day of MBA classes.
