Eldar Sakebaev – Kyrgyzstan

Eldar Sakebaev, Bosie State MBA studentEldar Sakebaev is a first-year Career Track MBA student who completed his undergraduate degree in international business at Boise State University. He was born and raised in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan and made his way to Boise in a few steps. After graduating from high school in his home country, he had the opportunity to go to a high school in Oregon as a senior. His host family in Oregon had ties to Idaho, and he wound up earning his associates degree in Twin Falls before coming in Boise.

Eldar elected to pursue international business because of his interest in international politics, tariffs and international economies. It helps that he is fluent in Kyrgyz (his home language), Russian and English. After earning his bachelor;s degree, Eldar wanted more analytical experience, so he enrolled in an MBA program. He has completed the graduate statistics class and learned skills that will help him in his desired career. He wants to be a business analyst for a consulting firm, which will put his analytical skills to good use.

Eldar has enjoyed the past few years in Boise and his school work. He plans on achieving his career goals. Eldar says, “If you shoot high and stay focused, I promise something special will come to you,” acknowledging the importance of working hard and the benefits that come with it.
