Keith D. Harvey, PhD
Professor Harvey earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (cfainstitute.org) credential in 1993 while serving as a vice president in commercial banking at Chemical Banking Corporation. After an eight year career in banking which centered on commercial lending, he earned his Ph.D. in finance and joined the faculty at Boise State University in 2000. He served as chair for the Department of Marketing and Finance from 2011- 2014. He was the associate dean for academic programs 2014-2017.
He is a director at Valtrend, LLC (valtrend.com), which specializes in business valuation, financial advisory and litigation support. He is a member of the CFA Society of Idaho, where he has served on the board of directors, and is advisor for the CFA Global Investment Research Challenge and the student CFA scholarship program.
His research has been published in The Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, The Journal of Financial Services Research, The Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and The Journal of Real Estate Research.
