Internships and Job Postings
Internships and jobs are an integral part of a college student’s education. They offer invaluable learning experiences that are mutually beneficial to students and employers. If your company or organization is considering hiring or a COBE student, we can assist you with recruiting. To announce internships or jobs we encourage you to post on Handshake through the Boise State University Career Center. We also highlight internships and jobs exclusively to COBE students through our Internship Board. To post, please email our team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond promptly and collect information about your open position.
On Campus Recruiting and Networking
We are always happy to host business-focused companies and organizations on campus for recruiting or networking events. These events range from interviews and career fairs, to information sessions and panel discussions. You can reach out to us anytime to set up a campus visit or register for a COBE Career Services event. If you would like to recruit on campus, please be sure to review the Boise State On-Campus Recruiting Policy.
We know your company or organization is rich with subject matter experts – individuals that enjoy presenting on career topics, like resume building and interview skills. We invite you to host one of our regular career development workshops, held each semester for groups of 40 – 80 students. Our team will meet with you to customize presentation content and collaborate on workshop logistics, such as time, date, location, etc.
On a Career Trek, we bring the students to you! Career Treks provide a unique chance to show students a day-in-the-life at your company or organization and learn what you look for in candidates by visiting your workplace. Group sizes and trek styles can be customized to fit your recruiting needs.
What does it take to host a Career Trek?
- Collaborate with our staff to plan a site visit and establish expectations. We recommend reaching out to us at least 3 weeks prior to the start of each semester (Aug, Jan, May).
- Our staff will handle communication with students about the event and coordinate transportation. Upon request, we will provide a roster of students the week of the site visit.
- Your team will map out what happens when students arrive. Here are some ideas of what you might want to plan: facility tour, panel of professionals, operations demo, product sampling, networking session with alumni, presentation on how to apply/what you look for in candidates, refreshments, etc.
- Provide our staff feedback and takeaways to improve your next trek
