Lauren Butler, an economics graduate, recently began a job as a research analyst with ECONorthwest, the largest consulting company in the Pacific Northwest. Lauren’s research was cited in an article, “Department of Labor predicts 1.4 percent annual job growth through 2026” in the Idaho Business Review August 15, 2018. Lauren graduated magna cum laude in spring 2018 with a bachelor of arts in quantitative economics. She is the first undergraduate in economics invited to participate in a graduate level course in the Department of Mathematics at Boise State. Also while attending Boise State, Lauren completed a semester project with Close the Gap Idaho, a one-year internship with the Department of Corrections, was recognized as a COBE Signature Student in the Department of Economics, was a recipient of the Len B. and Grace Jordan Scholarship, and was an active participant in the Economics Association a student organization.
