Q.
Do I have to apply to be accepted to the College of Business &
Economics?
A. No.
You can declare your major in Business as part of the admission
process or update it yourself on BroncoWeb (as long as you have not
yet applied for graduation). It is important to correctly list your major so
you can be considered for scholarships that are only open to
business students. Also, by declaring a business major you will be
informed of any updates or news pertaining to students in your
major. Q. How do
I find an advisor? Who is my advisor?
A. For the first two
years, you will have an advisor in the Student Services Center, B
116. Come in or call for an appointment to meet with an
advisor to help you schedule classes, answer questions, get help or
just to see how you are doing. You can choose to have a peer
advisor if you would like rather than an office staff advisor.
Either way you will benefit from early communication with an
advisor.
Q. What is Finish in
4? A.

Q. Do I need to apply for upper division status in the
College of Business & Economics?
A. There
is no formal application for upper division status in the College of
Business & Economics. When you have completed 58 credits and
passed the prerequisite classes with a C- or better, you may take
upper division courses.
Q. Is there any way I can
receive credit for a transfer course that the BSU transcript
evaluators say does not transfer?
A. Yes,
in many cases that may be possible. Academic Adjustment forms for
transfer credit are available in each academic department and in the Student Services Center in
B116. The Academic Adjustment form, course syllabus, and a
transcript showing your grade for the course must be taken to the
department of the course you are trying to transfer. Be aware that
requirements may differ between departments.
Q. I already have a degree,
where do I go for advising?
A. If
you already have a bachelor's degree and are returning for a second
degree, you will need to go to the department of the major you
have chosen for your second degree. They will complete a
second degree checklist which will tell you what courses you will
need to take. If you have an associates degree, see the Student
Services Center for information on how your credits will count
towards a four year degree.

pursuing a minor. What do I need to do?
A. General
Business Minor applications are available in the College of Business
