Bio
Susan Park has been a faculty member at Boise State University since 1997. Professor Park earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Idaho College of Law, and a BA in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Professor Park has published two refereed journal articles and a book chapter on social networking and employment law (with Professor Gundy Kaupins). She is also a co-author of The Legal Environment of Business (5th edition) with Professor Bixby at Boise State (and two other co-authors), and previously wrote the study guide companion to the textbook. In addition to social media and employment law, she has recently completed an article regarding copyright enforcement and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and is doing ongoing research in the areas of employment law and privacy, and teaching and student engagement.
Susan is the President-Elect of the Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (PNALSB), and served as the regional organization’s delegate to the Academy of Legal Studies in Business 2011 national conference in New Orleans. She is also a licensed attorney and member of the Idaho State Bar.
Before becoming a faculty member at Boise State, Professor Park practiced law in Boise for the firm of Park, Redford, Thomas, and Burkett and served as a law clerk for Chief Justice Bakes at the Idaho Supreme Court. She is an Idaho native and the mother of two teenage boys, one of whom is a 4th generation student at Boise High School.
