Accounting Scholarships

Scholarship Application (pdf)

The Department of Accountancy along with various local business organizations award over $40,000 in scholarships to accounting majors every year. To be eligible for these scholarships you must complete the Department of Accountancy’s scholarship application form. Wheelbarrow full of money

Who May Apply:  All graduate and undergraduate accounting majors who expect to carry 8 or more credit hours for the following semester may apply. Preference is generally given to students who will be juniors or seniors for the coming school year and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Majors who do not meet these criteria are asked to explain in their application why they should be given special consideration. Some of the scholarships have specific requirements. For example, Boise Cascade offers a scholarship for a minority student and the Association of Government Accountants gives preference to members or the immediate family of members of that organization. Finally, some scholarships are awarded based on financial need. Applicants interested in need-based scholarships must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

How To Apply:  Fill out the department scholarship form. Click here view a copy of the scholarship application form. This application is in pdf format and requires you to have a free program called Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print it. If you do not have this program, please follow the link below to get a free copy. A copy of the application can also be obtained from the Department of Accountancy.
