College of Business & Economics Scholarships

The College of Business and Economics (CoBE) grants scholarships each year which are intended to reward students for outstanding academic performance and to provide financial support to high quality students that demonstrate need. To be eligible for CoBE awarded scholarships and general University scholarships, students must be full fee paying, and have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0. Please note that many scholarships may require a higher GPA (than 3.0) and a specific class standing (example  = junior/senior/graduate) as determined by our University Registrar's Office.

Scholarship Awards
Scholarships are awarded each year during the spring semester for the following academic year.

Selection Criteria

The University also requires that for students to be eligible for university-wide scholarships, all application materials (i.e. supplemental forms, admissions applications) must be submitted no later than February 15th of each academic year. Additionally, students wishing to be considered for need-based scholarships must mail their FAFSA to the federal processor also by this date.

Scholarships awarded by CoBE, can be summarized as follows:

CoBE Department/Donor
Need based
Academic

The majority of scholarships are awarded by a designated scholarship committee.
The CoBE scholarship committee determines college level scholarships awards. The scholarship committee is composed of one tenure track faculty member from each department in the CoBE.

The committee reviews the eligible students for each scholarship and based on the criteria for that scholarship reaches a consensus of its members on the student recipient(s). The committee usually awards need-based scholarships first, and then awards academic scholarships.

The remaining scholarships are awarded by the departments or donors. These scholarships also include both need-based and academic scholarships. Some of these scholarships require submission of additional application materials (Please see available via links below). Departmental determined scholarship awards are reported directly to the CoBE scholarship committee.

Following are links to areas with specific scholarship applications and or information.  For all other COBE scholarships, a completed current  FAFSA is required.
