Bio
Dr. Anson is Professor of Information Technology Management at Boise State University, USA. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Systems Analysis and Design, Project Management, Database Management, IS Strategy, Business Intelligence, and Senior Project. He currently is serving a two-year, half time position as Faculty Ombuds for Boise State.
His research interests include IT support practices, electronic meetings and group support systems with an emphasis on facilitation in these settings, and ERP project implementation. He has published articles in journals such as Management Science, Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, Journal of Small Group Research and the European Journal of Operations Research, in addition to various conferences and books.
He consults in various areas. He has served as a meeting facilitator for hundreds business, educational and non-profit groups using the BSU Electronic Meeting Room for 15 years. Recent seminar programs he has presented for industry include Project Management, Program Management, and Object Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML. His recent consulting has been facilitating process redesign for companies. Rob has served as a technical consultant or advisor on various state government and university projects. He has played managerial and technical roles in a large ERP implementation and in numerous system development projects for small to medium sized businesses.
