Marketing
Marketing students can join the Boise State Unviersity American Advertising Federation. AAF members participate in the National Student Advertising District Competition in the spring.
NSAC is the American Advertising Federation’s premier college advertising competition, providing more than 3,000 college students with real-world experience by requiring a strategic advertising/marketing/media campaign for a corporate sponsor. Schools from each district are selected to present their campaigns to a panel of industry executives.
A team of Boise State students placed third in the Region XI National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) held in Boise April 2010. The team also won the “People’s Choice” award for Best Presentation.
Students competed against teams from nine other universities, including the University of Oregon and Washington State University who took 1st and 2nd place respectively. The team adviser and course instructor is Jay Longwell. This year’s corporate sponsor was State Farm.
Finance
Financial Management Association (FMA) assists in the professional, educational, and social development of college students interested in finance, banking and investments. We participate in presentations, tours, seminars, financial calculator workshops, spreadsheet software classes, pizza parties, golf tournaments, and other social functions.
