2013 Case Competition.
8 Undergraduate teams put their HR knowledge to the test and competed in the 2013 Pacific West Regional Case Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, by collaborating with their teammates to present the solution to a panel of HR-certified volunteer judges through a 15-minute oral presentation and 2-page executive written summary.
The Boise State team of 4 competed with the help of coach Decateur Reed. They met every Saturday for about four hours since mid-February. Only one person on the team had previously participated. Boise State took3rd place!

About Gundars Kaupins
Gundars (Gundy) Kaupins is Department Chair and Professor of Management at Boise State University. He has a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the University of Iowa and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). His publications include over 250 articles in job evaluation, training and development, Baltic studies, and human resource ethics in journals such as the Academy of Management Perspectives and International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction. He teaches human resource management, labor relations, and compensation. With his students, he also has completed human resource consulting for over 350 organizations.
