The exam is administered on the Boise State University campus (Business Building, Rm 209).
Exams administered on the BSU campus are on a walk-in basis in the BSU COBE Computer Lab (B209) during the hours listed in the Schedule of Exam Times. You do not need to sign up for an appointment to take the exam. Check in with the B209 Computer Lab Monitor to let them know you want to take the COBE Computer Placement Exam, follow their instructions to begin the exam. They will direct you to the written policies and instructions for the exam, then enter the password for you so that you may begin the exam. (If you have any questions about the exam policies you must direct those questions to the IT-SCM Department (Micron Business and Economics Buidling, room 3248) rather than the B209 Lab Monitors.)
Exams are given on a “computer available” basis. It is in your best interest not to wait until the last minute to take the exam – a computer may not be available for you, in addition, the lab could be noisy. The computer lab is very busy the last week of classes or the week before any semester. Avoiding these time periods will be to your benefit.
The exam is also administered at the CSI campus (Twin Falls). Since there are a number of computer-related placement exams given in the CSI Testing Center be sure you double check to make certain the exam you take is in fact the COBE Computer Placement Exam for BSU’s ITM104, ITM105, and/or ITM106 courses. More details about the CSI exam administration is available at http://www.csi.edu/ip/adc/testing/, on the left hand menu bar, click on Location and Hours.
