COBE Computer Placement Exam Software Update to Happen Soon
As soon as the BSU Bookstore sells the present supply of the MyITLab exam licenses for Microsoft Office 2010, the exam will change to Microsoft Office 2013. While this could happen anytime this summer we anticipate sometime mid- to late-August.
When the COBE Computer Placement Exam switches to the new Microsoft Office 2013, students with the old 2010 MyITLab passwords will have 30 days to complete their exams with their old Microsoft Office 2010 licenses. Be sure to specify which Microsoft Office version you need when you check in at the testing lab.
If you have purchased the MyITLab exam license for Microsoft Office 2010, be aware the license expires 30 days after completing your student profile in order to take the exam. The new MicroSoft 2013 MyIT Lab licenses will cost less and the license will be valid for 14 rather than 30 days.
COBE Computer Placement Exam
The COBE Computer Placement Exam allows students to ”place out of” the ITM104 Operating Systems and Word Processing Topics, ITM105 Spreadsheet Topics, and ITM106 Database Topics. Students have the option to take the one credit ITM classes (ITM104, ITM105, and/or ITM106) OR to successfully complete the COBE Computer Placement Exam to place out of the requirements for these courses.
