This teacher training workshop conbines the best of three great financial literacy programs: 1)The Classroom Mini-Economy, 2) Hands on Banking, and 3) The Stock Market Game; into an exciting 8 hour training experience for you You will gain immediate access to fun classroom activities, lessons, and ideas for teaching your students about managing money, saving, investing, and learning to live and work in today’s complex world.

Joseph Peri Named Acting President and Chief Executive Officer
New York, NY – The Council For Economic Education (CEE), a leading international economic education organization, announced today that President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Robert F. Duvall, will retire effective July 31, 2009. CEE named Joseph Peri, current Chief Operating Officer, as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2009. The Board of Directors will conduct an external search and evaluate internal candidates for a permanent replacement. (more…)

The Council for Economic Education’s annual conference was held October 8-11, 2008 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Lisa Haeberle, a graduate student at Idaho State University, presented her research paper at the conference. It was a wonderful learning experience for Lisa.
Crystal Ayers is taking a trip to South Africa and will be reporting her escapades here soon. She plans to leave in early August 2009. Read about her travels on her blog.
Dylan Jones, a Bishop Kelly senior, was recently named as the winner of the National Stock Market Game. The Stock Market Game is provided by the Idaho Council on Economic Education at Boise State University.
IDAHO “MYSTERY STUDENT” WINS NATIONAL ESSAY CONTEST ON INVESTING AND ECONOMICS
The Idaho Council on Economic Education at Boise State University has announced that a Bishop Kelly High School student has won first place in a national investment essay contest. (more…)
The Idaho Council on Economic Education, hosted jointly by the College of Business and Economics and the College of Education at BSU, conducted 5 “International Economic Summit” programs throughout the state of Idaho this semester, reaching 2,500 high school students and many community supporters.
