David Christensen
Professor, International Business
Boise State University

David
Christensen has been an adjunct professor at Boise State University since 1994.
His education includes a B.A. from the Mackay School of Mines, University of
Nevada;
M.A. from the University of Nevada and post graduate work in African
Studies at Stanford University.
Professor Christensen teaches courses in global business management and
exporting and
importing procedures in the College of Business and Economics as
well as various regional
history classes and Canadian Studies classes in the
College of Social Science and Public
Affairs. From 1990 - 1997 Professor
Christensen was the Administrator for the Division of
International Business at
the Idaho Department of Commerce. He was responsible for the
state's
efforts to assist small and medium sized companies expanding Idaho exports
around the world. The division received the U.S. Presidential "E" Award
for excellence in export services.
He was a Career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State for 25
years with assignments in Africa,
Asia, Australia and Europe. He has been a
member of the Idaho Export Council since 1989. He is also the recipient
of
the "Governor of Idaho's Export Award for Outstanding Service." (May 2002)
Additionally, he has been a member
of the advisory board of the Boise-based Spur
Products Company since 1997.
