MBA-L ListServ Protocol

Once you have subscribed, you may also submit email messages to the MBA-L ListServ for distribution. All emails intended for MBA-L ListServ distribution must be approved by the Business Graduate Studies office.

In the TO: field, type

MBA-L@boisestate.edu

Give it a SUBJECT that clearly describes the topic, and type your message. Be sure to notify Renee that the e-mail is for MBA-L ListServ distribution, and include all pertinent information in the email. All emails to be distributed on the MBA-L ListServ are subject to editing.

Replying to MBA-L ListServ messages

Please keep in mind that when you click on the "reply" button, you are responding to all 450+ subscribers of the MBA-L ListServ. If you wish to respond to one individual specifically, enter his/her email address in the TO: field. Otherwise you will be sending a message to everyone that is intended for only one individual.

Replies to MBA-L ListServ emails will be sent back to the MBA-L ListServ for distribution to all subscribers. Leave the subject line the same if your reply continues on with the same topic, so others can tell it is a follow-up reply on the same theme. Also, remove all parts of the original message that do not apply so only the relevant content is included.

If you wish to reply to the sender directly (off the list), find their personal email account in the message and paste it into the TO field. It is bad 'netiquette’ to post a message to a MBA-L ListServ that is only meant for one person.
