Biographical Profile

Phillip C. Fry

 

Phil Fry is a professor of operations management in the department of Networking, Operations and Information Systems in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University, where he has taught since 1988.  Phil received his B.A. and M.B.A degrees from the University of Arkansas, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Louisiana State University.  His teaching and research interests are in the areas of business statistics, production management, and quantitative business modeling.  He is a co-author of the textbooks Business Statistics: A Decision Making Approach, 6th edition, and A Course in Business Statistics, 3rd edition both published by Prentice-Hall.  Some of his research has appeared in the European Journal of Operational Research, the Decision Science Journal of Innovative Education, and the Production and Inventory Management Journal.

 In addition to his academic responsibilities, Phil has consulted with and provided training to small and large companies, including Boise Cascade Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Corporation, The J. R. Simplot Company, United Water of Idaho, Woodgrain Millwork Inc., Idaho Power, Boise City, and Micron Electronics.
