Professor of Accountancy
Tom English is a Professor of accountancy who received his PhD from Arizona State University in 1988, his MA from Washington State University in 1983 and his BS from the University of Utah in 1975. He is a CPA in Washington, Nebraska and Idaho.
Tom joined the faculty at Boise State University in 1987 after several years as an auditor in public accounting and as a CFO. He teaches Internal Audit, Advanced Audit and Introductory Financial Accounting. Tom has received several teaching awards as well as distinguished faculty awards from the Alumni Association. He has authored several articles dealing with audit and tax issues. Tom has just completed a 5-year term as Department Chair and continues to be director of the Masters of Accountancy program
