5. Research In Progress
Co-editing book, entitled Facilitating Teams With Technology
Choices, with Karen Takle Quinn. Currently under review for publication by Jossey
Bass. Chapters are in progress by 12 authors. In addition to co-editing the edition, I am
authoring two chapters based on original research as well as introductory and concluding
chapters. The research chapters include:

RECENT PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
1. Grants
Grant Development Coordinator (Fall 1991-Fall 1993) developing
$250,000 grant proposal for a state-of-the-art, electronic education and research facility
in the College of Business. Effort resulted in three proposals submitted to the Murdock
Foundation, AT&T, and IBM, under the title: "Proposal to Develop a Computer-Based
Organizational Research and Support Facility." Grant funded in Spring 1993 by
Hewlett-Packard for $100,000, and by John Elloriaga for $50,000 in collaboration with
Robert Minch and Patrick Shannon.
"Improving Meetings Using Computer and Facilitator Support," grant funded 3M
Meeting Management Institute, for $11,000, and published in their monograph, Fall 1990.
Other grants include:

2. Major Non-Instructional Responsibilities
BSU Project Access, Process Coordinator (Summer 1997
on-going) Responsible for assisting in planning and coordinating the efforts of
approximately 175 BSU staff involved in the implementation of a new University-side
information system and corresponding organizational, policy and procedural changes. In
this role, I perform a wide variety of duties, including: member of Project Leadership
Team which sets overall direction and coordination for Project Access; design
organizational structures and team assignments for project operations; design policies and
procedures for communications; actively maintain communications with BSU executives, as
well as across and within teams; develop and facilitate the execution of work plans;
facilitate issue resolution; convene or participate in an average 3-6 meetings per day;
and other duties as required. A second aspect of my Process Coordinator role
is more technical, responsible for developing, or directing the development of, workflow
and routing processes within the PeopleSoft software.
BSU Process Innovation Project Leader (Summer 1996 Fall 1996) Responsible for
procedural design of reengineering teams for principal administrative processes at Boise
State University. Also responsible for coordination and assisting in the facilitation of
the first two reengineering efforts addressing registration and student financial
services.
BSU Process Modeling Facilitator (Summer 1995) Responsible for procedural design,
coordination, and facilitation of modeling comprehensive current administrative processes
at Boise State University.
Director, Electronic Meeting Room (September 1993 -1995). Direct operations of 20
station electronic meeting room. Facilitate community, faculty and student group meetings
using Group Support System technology and manual facilitation techniques. Conduct class
sessions and training seminars on group process facilitation and technologies.
Group Decision Support System Consultant (on-going). Assist community, faculty and
administration in facilitating, designing and coordinating technology-supported meetings
and class sessions.
Database Development (Fall 1992-present) Creation and maintenance of multiple
administrative databases tracking students, faculty information, workload, schedule
planning, enrollment, etc. in the BSU College of Business, the BSU Outdoor Adventure
Program, and others.
