Questions and Answers

Is it possible to enter an activity more than once in Digital Measures?

You will enter each activity only once within Digital Measures.  Please select the screen which best matches your entry.

What additional fields are critical to complete for reporting?

It is critical to have the date fields, AACSB Classification, Estimate of Hours (where applicable) complete so that reports will run correctly. If these fields are left blank your data may or may not be included in reports.

What is the first page that I should complete?

We strongly encourage you to start with the Personal/Contact/Tenure screen.  It contains information that is very helpful to running reports for specific time periods.  You will need to make updates to the page as they occur.  This might include a change in your office location or teaching interest or responsibility.

What does it mean when the screens says, “This data will be complete by your Digital Measures Administrator?”

There is specific information that only your college administrator will have access to and be able to update.

Where do I enter information about other jobs I have had before or outside of Boise State?

Positions outside Boise State are stored on the “Academic, Government, Military and Professional Positions” screen.

Where do I enter information about other formal jobs I have or had here At Boise State?

Information about your primary position as a Boise State faculty member is entered  into the Semester Administrative Data screen which is updated by your department chair and your Personal/Contact/Tenure Information screens.  If you serve in other formal positions at Boise State you use the Administrative Assignments screen.  That includes things like department chair or associate dean, taking a half time position in the CTL or president of the Faculty Senate.  These are official administrative positions with some compensation attached, whether it is monetary, course reductions, or otherwise.  While they can be considered service, the official responsibilities generally sets them apart.

Do I need to fill out a record for each degree that I have earned?

Yes, please record each degree that you have received, starting with your undergraduate degree.

Where do I explain information regarding Workload?

Enter your Workload information on the screen, “Workload: Planned and Completed.” A screen should be completed for each calendar year.  The screen is broken into two sections.  First, is for planned workload, filled out at the start of the year with you intended workload.  Second, is  and completed workload, filled out at the end of the year with your actual workload. Please note at the bottom of each section there is an area called, “Workload Narrative”  where you can describe additional the information about your workload.

Who do I contact if my Scheduled Courses information is incorrect?

Each college has a Digital Measures Administrator.  You should contact this person and let them know what the discrepancy is.  They will in turn contact the Registrar and follow the process for making changes.

Where do I enter the information if someone assisted me in teaching the course?

On the Scheduled Courses screen below the auto loaded fields is an area that is designed to be completed by faculty.  There is a question, “Assistance with this course (check all that apply.)
