Awarded by the Jordan family and the Department of Economics. These renewable scholarships are awarded to several students each academic year. Criteria for consideration include financial need and/or academic merit. To be considered for scholarship renewal, recipients must reapply each academic year.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be full time, junior or senior Economics majors
- Must have 3.0 GPA or higher
- Majors who do not meet these criteria are asked to explain in their application why they should be given special consideration.
There are currently three different types of academic support you can apply for:
- Traditional Scholarship
- Summer School Program
- Internship
How to Apply:
Fill out the scholarship application (Jordan Application 2012) and turn it in to the administrative assistant in the Department of Economics, Rm. B-311, by the deadline.
Include the following materials with your application:
For all applications please include:
- A short statement of your life and career goals
- A short explanation of why you have chosen to major in economics
If you are applying for support for a summer school program also include:
- A brief description of the summer coursework/program and budget for the summer coursework/program including tuition costs and travel, academic, and living expenses.
If you are applying for internship support also include:
- A detailed description of your research project, expected outcomes, and budget.
