Wireless printing status as of August 2005

The introduction of the Pharos Fee-Based Printing System is currently underway campus-wide.

This system does not, at this time, have provision to include laptop wireless computers.

Because a fee-based system must be equally applied to all student users of BSU facilities, we cannot offer free printing to some while charging others.

The COBE Computer Lab has therefore discontinued the availability of wireless printing at the front desk since there is no way at this time to include such printing in the fee-based system.

It is our understanding that the university will address wireless printing when the Pharos system is fully deployed campus-wide.
