“The Creation of a state-of-the-art facility for our College of Business and Economics is a top priority at the University”
Bob Kustra, President
Boise State University
As COBE students have tripled in numbers over the last 30 years, students struggle to find an open classroom to prepare for presentations, work on team projects, meet with faculty, or find a quiet place to study. There is no space in the current COBE building for our Executive Education Program offerings and no graduate classroom space to provide a demarcation between undergraduate and graduate programs. The current building also poses constraints to technology, collaboration and innovative teaching methods.
The new building will help attract the best and the brightest students and faculty and provide for an optimal learning environment. Our Graduate and Executive Education programs will have appropriate space on the top floor to unleash their full potential and better meet the needs of businesses we serve. It also will house COBE’s business help units such as the Idaho Small Business Development Center, Center for Entrepreneurship, Centre for Creativity and Innovation, and TechHelp. All of these resources under one roof will enable easy access and collaboration to further our mission of creating and driving economic development in the Treasure Valley. The new business building will raise the level of education and services provided to our stakeholders, ultimately improving and helping sustain our region’s economy and high quality of life.
