COBE Scholarships

Every student admitted into the Career Start MBA Program will receive a scholarship!

Students who have started the application process by February 15 are eligible for a limited number of  graduate assistantships (tuition waiver and work stipend) or Gem Scholarships (non-resident portion of tuition and fees waiver for out-of-state and international graduate students). Students applying after February 15 will be considered for graduate assistantships and Gem Scholarships on a space-available basis.

All students not selected for a graduate assistantship or Gem Scholarship will receive a $3000 Career Start MBA scholarship.

Scholarships can renew for the second year, but renewal is not automatic.

The William H. & Gladys E. Langroise Research Scholar Assistantship (MBA)

The Langroise Research Scholar Assistantship is an MBA Graduate Assistantship awarded to an outstanding graduate assistant applicant. To qualify, the candidate must be admitted to the MBA program by February 15 (this is awarded to a second year MBA student).

Graduate Residential Scholars Program (GRSP)

Scholars live in an on-campus residential community of graduate students representing diverse backgrounds and disciplinary interests. Each scholar is awarded a two-year graduate assistantship that includes a stipend ($10,000 per academic year), full waiver of tuition and fees, and free housing in the new and fully furnished University Square Apartments. Interested students must submit completed Graduate Assistant and GRSP Application Forms.

Each four-bedroom, four-person apartment has high-speed internet, reserved parking, and washer and dryer facilities. See housing for more information including floor plans. Prospective students can also call 208-426-3986 to schedule a tour.

Selection of scholars begins on February 1, with notification in late February. Note that this date may differ from than the application deadline for the graduate program to which the student is applying. Students interested in the GRSP are encouraged to check with their program coordinator to ensure that their application material is considered prior to the February 1 GRSP deadline.
