The recent housing market crises has left many folks wondering “why did this happen” and “what does the future hold?” In order to have meaninful dialogues on this subject it is important to understand how to think through the inherent need for housing in the country, a state, or a region. The following presentations were put together by Brian Greber to enable a thoughtful dialogue of the housing market situation with the editors and writers of the Idaho Statesman. The bottom line is pretty clear: it is easy to tell how much housing is needed, we overshot the mark significantly through investment and speculation, and we are paying the piper.
