COBE lockers still available to rent

Wondering what those lockers are doing on the floors of the Micron Business and Economics Building? They’re there for you to rent!

The College of Business and Economic lockers offer students a safe and convenient place to store backpacks, text books, valuable items and more for the cost of just $20 a semester.

If interested in renting a locker on the 1st floor, email the International Business Organization (IBO) at cobelockers1@gmail.com. In regards to renting a locker on the 2nd and 3rd floors, email Alpha Kappa Psi at cobelockers23@gmail.com.

Donors Tour the Skaggs Hall of Learning

Boise State Foundation Board member, A.J.Balukoff and his wife, Susie, recently toured the construction site of the Skaggs Hall of Learning. The Skaggs Hall of Learning will be a state-of-the-art, 250 seat facility located on the ground floor of the new business building—the Micron Business and Economics Building. The Skaggs Hall of Learning will be the home for undergraduate classes as well as the place for lectures and speeches by distinguished leaders from academia, business and government. An enticing and exciting learning environment, the Skaggs Hall of Learning will serve as a magnet for attracting educational opportunities to the campus and to the COBE. (more…)

Demolition Begins to Make Way for New Building

Demolition began last week on the University Inn at the corner of Capitol and University. The remaining portion of the structure, the old Iron Gate Lounge, will be torn down on Saturday, Nov. 13, to make way for the new Micron Business and Economics Building and western gateway to campus. (more…)

New Business and Economics Building Named in Honor of Micron

Boise State University Meets Fundraising Challenge, Will Begin Construction on New Business Building

Thanks to support from friends and alumni, Boise State University plans to begin construction later this year on a new $37 million home for the College of Business and Economics.

The Micron Technology Foundation committed to a $12.5 million lead gift for the business building in 2007, with $5 million of it contingent on Boise State raising matching funds by Dec. 31, 2009.

“Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our alumni and friends and their faith in our mission, we have met the match,” said Patrick Shannon, dean of the college. “More than 750 different donors supported us on this project, even during a difficult economic time.” (more…)
