Meredith Taylor Black, director of International Business Programs in the College of Business and Economics, was selected to join the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office’s (TECO) Young Scholar and Expert Delegation to Taiwan this October. As a member of the delegation, she has been invited to visit various governmental agencies of Taiwan in the areas of national security, foreign affairs, cross-strait relations, international trade and economic affairs, education and health care. She also will meet Taiwan political party leadership and policy-making scholars during a related seminar and be part of sightseeing trips to the National Palace Museum and Taipei 101 Building. As mentioned in Gov. Butch Otter’s letter of support for Taylor Black, “The mission of Boise State’s International Business Programs aligns with our state’s need for export market diversification and the resulting job growth. [Dr. Taylor-Black's] participation in the program will benefit Boise State students and the Idaho and international companies served through Boise State’s International Business Program.”
