Regis Terpend, Supply Chain Management, co-authored an article with his colleague from Miami University in Ohio, Bryan Ashenbaum. The article is titled “The Purchasing-Logistics Interface: A Scope or Responsibility Taxonomy.” The paper has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Business Logistics later this year.

Denise English, chair of the Department of Accountancy, is serving on several accreditation peer review teams for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. She is part of a four-member peer review team made up of two business deans and two accounting chairpersons that visited University of Houston-Clear Lake in October and will visit California State-Fullerton in February and the College of Charleston, South Carolina in fall. As of December 2008, 560 institutions worldwide hold AACSB business accreditation, of which 168 have additional specialized accreditation for their accounting programs. Boise State possesses both COBE and Accountancy accreditations from the AACSB.

Dusty Bodie, Department of Management, has been selected as the Provost’s Excellence in Advising Award winner for the College of Business and Economics for 2008. The ceremony to recognize award winners is scheduled for Thursday, February 19 from 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM in the Gallery of the Alumni Center.  Rather than make this an hour long event with catering, it is our hope that all attendees will move to the Bronco Prime Time event in the Stueckle Sky Center following the ceremony.
