COBE Accountancy Department

Accountancy Scholarships

The Department of Accountancy along with various local business organizations award over $40,000 in scholarships to accounting majors every year. To be eligible for these scholarships you must complete the Department of Accountancy’s scholarship application form.

Who May Apply:

  • All graduate and undergraduate accounting majors who expect to carry 8 or more credit hours for the following semester
  • Preference given to students who will be juniors or seniors for the coming school year and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Majors who do not meet these criteria are asked to explain in their application why they should be given special consideration.
  • Some of the scholarships have specific requirements.
For example, Boise Cascade offers a scholarship for a minority student and the Association of Government Accountants gives preference to members or the immediate family of members of that organization.
  • Some scholarships are awarded based on financial need.
Applicants interested in need-based scholarships must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
