1. Regular Meetings. Hold regular meetings in the student union every three weeks during the regular semesters. These meetings may include a guest HR professional from Boise and also provide updates of HR news in the Boise area.
2. Internships. Provide hundreds of internships are to be made available in the Boise area for chapter members.
3. HR Games. Compete in Case study-style Human Resource Collegiate Competition at the Pacific West Regional Conference for the Society for Human Resource Management.
3. Scholarships. Advertise two $2000 scholarships are available to members of the student chapter from the Human Resource Association of Treasure Valley.
4. Parent Chapter. Attend meetings of the parent chapter (Human Resource Association of Treasure Valley). Its meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 or 11:30 a.m. The cost for students is usually $10.00 (that’s half price). The location is typically the Marriott Hotel in Eagle.
5. Shadow Program. Shadow an HR professional for a day. Have at least three students do this.
6. Tours. Take a tour of some HR departments in Boise. Have at least three students do this.
7. Regional Conference. Attend the Northwest Human Resource Association Conference held every year in the Pacific West in April. Get a discount from the student chapter.
8. National Conference. Attend the Society for Human Resource Management Conference held every year June. Have at least one representative come.
9. Other. “Rake-up Boise,” participate in the organizational fair, join certification study groups, we walk judges at the Women’s Fitness Celebration.
