As a student and faculty/staff convenience, if you would like to browse the COBE website (or any individual Department or Programs webs);

Please follow the instructions offered below to engage the foreign language translation tools within 
(http://www.google.com) to view your desired site in any of the following versions:
 

English :2: French
English :2: German
English :2: Italian
English :2: Portuguese
English :2: Spanish


By using this tool, it will automatically translate most of the page content (with the exception of the Banners, Left navigation
panel, any frames, and other formatting styles common to the COBE and Dept. web sites). Note you can use this tool to view
ANY URL you'd like to see with various translation options available to you. Try it...it's pretty cool!

Instructions:

1. Point your browser to: http://www.google.com  (This tool works BEST with Internet Explorer Version 6.0)

2. Select : Language Tools (right half of page under the "News" Command Button/Link).

3. Go to their "Translate" section of the page (middle of the page).

4. Look For: Translate a web page: (sub-heading).

5. Fill-in the text box with: http://cobe.boisestate.edu  (or whatever URL you wish to see translated).

6. Pre-select your translation option from the drop-down menu (from:___________ to ___________)

7. Click on the Translate [command button].

8. Your newly translated page will display in a new window! (COBE Eng to German example image)

9. To stay in this mode, simply navigate within the Google Translation menu and internal website links.

10. Once you leave the:

                                            This page has been automatically translated from English.
                                                                View Original Web Page
 

     window, you will lose the automatic translation...after navigating a few times with the translation tool,
     you'll be an expert and no longer need to remember these steps...'hope you find it useful :)
